If you are someone who likes the idea of arriving at your holiday destination knowing it’s only going to be you there, then this is the safari for you.  This set of lodges, houses and luxury-tented camps offers an amazing variety of safari experiences in Kenya from outstanding game viewing, to private beach villas, to colonial splendour.  And yet each is either exclusively yours or very close to it.  The standard of service is outstanding and the settings are stunning.  Not a lot else one could ask for.

Night 1 to 2  -  On arrival at Nairobi you will be greeted by a Cheli & Peacock representative who will take you through everything you need to know about the logistics of your safari.  (Should you have any problems on your holiday they will also be on hand to resolve them.) You will then be taken to Wilson Airport where you will get on a light aircraft to Naivasha and from there transferred directly by car to Hippo Point.  This is an extraordinary place in its own right but for it to be offered for exclusive bookings is really amazing.  The two properties are set in one of the most peaceful, beautiful places in Kenya, right next to Lake Naivasha.  It is a serene and calm place that through its splendour gives you a feeling for how some of the privileged few must have lived in the colonial days.  Meanwhile the game that wanders round the grounds, majestic acacia trees and the sounds leave you in no doubt you have arrived in Africa. A wonderful place to spend your first couple of days on safari.

Night 3 to 5  -  One of the best places in the world to view game is in the Mara and one of the most stylish places in the Mara is Naibor Camp.  You will fly here from Naivasha, which shouldn’t take more than about half an hour.  Although you won’t have exclusive use of the camp there are only 7 tents and privacy is assured through the careful positioning of each them amongst the trees in the surrounding woodland. The option of private dining is also offered.  The reason for being here is to view game and this is one of the best spots in the Mara to do so.  Morning and evening game drives are highly recommended to make the most of this.

Night 6  -  A ninety minute flight will take you to Diani where you will be collected and taken to Kutuzama, which is about half an hour away.  Kutazama is all about the views and privacy.  Capacity here is four people and each room is well separated.  After all those early starts and game drives take some time to stop and relax, enjoy the setting and cool down in the split level infinity pool while watching the sun set.  A very magical place that helps you gain a sense for the scale of the wilderness.

Night 7 to 10  -  After a leisurely breakfast you will be driven back down to the coast where you will then spend 4 nights at one of the very luxurious Alfajiri villas.  Here you can redefine relaxation.  Private swimming pool, private garden, a beautiful stretch of beach a stones throw from your villa, personal butler, amazing food and an all inclusive and extensive bar.  

A 90-minute drive will get you to Mombasa Airport where you will catch a plane direct to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your return journey home.
