Overview: Naibor Tented Camp combines new standards in luxury camping, one of the best spots for game viewing in the world and a fabulous setting. The camp is hidden amongst woodland on the banks of the Talek River, which winds in front of the tents and is home to a bloat of resident hippos. The shade and river have a cool, calming effect and the design of the camp creates a striking combination of contemporary style and comfort. We are confident in saying that this is one of the finest examples of luxury camping we’ve seen in the Mara. Perhaps most importantly the camp is located in an area of the Mara with the greatest concentration of wildlife and is also positioned well to make the most of the annual migration.
Sustainable Rating: ![]()
Naibor aids and involves nearby Maasai communities in preserving their wildlife and environment, and provides them with a source of income. This enables the rural populations to benefit from their natural resources in a sustainable and non-destructive way and so be better able to care for their families and improve their standard of living. As far as possible Naibor recruits staff for employment from the nearby community. In addition the community receives a direct contribution for every guest per night in the camp. This contribution is then dedicated to social development projects in the community. Naibor also helps to channel private investment and donations into micro-finance, health and education projects within the local area. The Naibor Shop is specifically aimed at providing an outlet for locally made Maasai crafts and arts - providing the Maasai people with a market for their artistic talents.
