Coast

The accommodation we’ve selected is concentrated to the south of Mombasa around Diani.  Here the 15km section of white sandy beach has a corral reef that makes the sea all the more alluring and picturesque.  If its isolation you’re looking for then look no further than Delta Dunes on the North Coast.  Here there is no reef so the sea is rough and the beach drops down very gently making it ideal for boogie boarding and playing.  The landscape is completely different from the South Coast as dunes and delta wetlands dominate. Also within this category is Kutazama which lies about 15 miles inland from Diani in the Shimba Hills which form part of a forest ecosystem, a great chunk of which is protected by the nearby Shimba Hills National Reserve.  The area in general is comprised of rainforest, grassland and woodland.
