Overview: The three very private and individual villas perched on a rocky outcrop above a six-mile long, white, sandy beach, offer stunning views over the Indian Ocean. Having a relaxing massage in the privacy of your garden, being waited on by your personal butler, cooling down in your own pool and all the while watching the ever-changing colours of the sea and sky, is an experience to savour. Each villa offers you luxurious comfort, showcasing regional, exotic furniture, to complete the very real feeling of decadence.

Alfajiri’s goal for complete privacy is first made clear by the absence of any sign as you turn off the main road and onto the track that winds down through the beach-edged tropical forest to the villas. Unless you were told, you would never know that they were here and would certainly never be able to find them.

This desire for privacy extents to the three villas which each have their own pool, meticulously maintained gardens and stunning view of the Indian Ocean.

The lay out, design and decoration of each villa varies greatly creating an eclectic mix of styles.  All feature lavish decorations and sumptuous furniture to draw you into an overall sense of luxury from the moment you set foot in them. It’s hard to walk past a bed, sofa, pool lounger, cushion or chair without wanting to stop and relax in it, which you more often than not do.  If that’s not enough to slow you down the inclusive massage treatments and reflexology surely will.

The owners and your hosts, Fabrizio and Marika Molinaro, who have lived on the Kenya coast for most of their lives, take huge pride and personal interest in the level of service offered and this is evident throughout.  Waiters and a chef are dedicated to your villa and are at your service all day to fulfill any of your desires. The freshest seafood is brought in daily from local fisherman while salads and fresh vegetables are all from nearby farms. Your bar never closes.

Whether you’re with friends or family each villa has plenty of space and is set up to be conducive to sharing meals or sitting in comfort together while enjoying a drink and taking in the scenes.  All the bedrooms are generously proportioned with en-suite bathrooms, ocean views and air-conditioning (with the exception of the two children’s rooms in the beach villa, which have fans).

If you want to be active you’ve come to the right place too.  Included in the rate is unlimited golf at the challenging and beautiful 18-hole course only a few minutes away (clubs provided) which from lots of personal experience comes highly recommended. Why not take advantage of the pristine waters and go snorkelling around the coral reef with local fishermen in their traditional boats, or play tennis or squash at the nearby courts.

Alfajiri is considered by many to be one of the finest properties on Kenya’s coast and offers a private place to do as much or as little as you like in complete luxury and in stunning surroundings.
